scree
The brilliant Brachliegen Tapes are releasing a work of mine on cassette called scree – my take on tape loop manipulators like Aaron Dilloway.
scree contains two longform pieces inspired by the Cornish coastline, formed over time from eroding loops and voices, processed field recordings and found sounds.
scree is available to pre-order and will be released in January.
How to Find My Way Home
My How to Find My Way Home album came out last month on Rusted Tone Recordings and is a sonic journey exploring the four different types of memory.
I wrote an article with a track-by-track breakdown of the five pieces, which can be read before, during or after listening to the album – if you wish! [on Medium]
seasonal cassette disorder
niwlio has released a new four-track EP called seasonal cassette disorder. This collection of varied winter sounds includes: processed loops, home recordings, mangled festive songs, drifting synth work and an improv performance with singing bowl, chimes, pots and open window.

I guess they can tell that something’s broken

Released by Difficult Art and Music – Postpartum – the doom pop debut EP by Be Kind Cadaver is music for existentialists that still love to dance.
A collection of evolving, multi-part songs combine a noise punk aesthetic with electronic elements. Be Kind Cadaver create a shifting sound world to present their lyrical commentary on the contemporary political landscape through the prism of male postpartum and the trials of fatherhood — exploring issues as diverse as childbirth, gender, anxiety and existentialism.
…be prepared to sing along to post-punk synth jams about the contemporary political landscape through the eyes of fatherhood…

Sonho das Flores is special. Released on La Petite Chambre Records back in the spring, it is warm and inviting, a truly living microcosm of sound. These are the sounds of nature dreaming — the sounds of nature singing. These are nature songs: beautiful, melancholic and blessed with hope. It wonderfully captures the awakening of a new season and is a celebration of all things microscopic, hidden and lost to time.
“The dream of a new spring composed of plants, stones, rivers, and animals. It’s a homage to the Sun.”
